Merck and CCPA Purchasing Partners (CCPAPP) would like to inform our members of an update regarding the supply of vial images of GARDASIL®9 (Human Papillomavirus 9-valent Vaccine, Recombinant).

As part of ongoing efforts to better match customer usage trends and optimize production capacity for GARDASIL 9, Merck will be discontinuing the 10-pack of single-dose vials of GARDASIL 9 and will solely offer the 10-pack of single-dose prefilled syringes. This decision is not related to any product safety or manufacturing issues with GARDASIL 9.

Merck has adequate supply of the 10-pack of single-dose prefilled syringes of GARDASIL 9 to cover the discontinuation of the 10-pack of single-dose vials in the United States. Please note that the 10-pack of single-dose prefilled syringes of GARDASIL 9 is priced the same as the 10-pack of single-dose vials.

You may continue to purchase the 10-pack of single-dose vials directly from Merck, as well as through wholesalers and physician distributors, until all supplies have been depleted. Merck does not have specific dates of when the supply of the 10-pack of single-dose vials will be depleted; however, based on current inventory, it is estimated that supplies of the vial image will be depleted in the second half of 2019.

The 10-pack of single-dose vials of GARDASIL 9 will remain on all private sector contracts and pricing programs until inventory has been depleted.

Merck thanks our members for their business and commitment to Merck Vaccines. If you have any questions, please contact your Merck account representative or call the Merck Vaccine Customer Center at 877-VAX-MERCK (877.829.6372).
